(1) Ketika Ahab memberitahukan kepada Izebel segala yang dilakukan Elia dan perihal Elia membunuh semua nabi itu dengan pedang,
(1) 아합 왕은 이세벨에게 가서 엘리야가 한 일을 다 들려 주었습니다. 엘리야가 모든 예언자들을 칼로 죽인 일도 말해 주었습니다.
(1) {Elijah Flees from Jezebel}Now Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and how he had killed all the prophets [of Baal] with the sword.
(2) maka Izebel menyuruh seorang suruhan mengatakan kepada Elia: "Beginilah kiranya para allah menghukum aku, bahkan lebih lagi dari pada itu, jika besok kira-kira pada waktu ini aku tidak membuat nyawamu sama seperti nyawa salah seorang dari mereka itu."
(2) 그러자 이세벨이 엘리야에게 사자를 보내서 말했습니다. “내일 이맘때까지 너를 죽이고 말겠다. 네가 그 예언자들을 죽였듯이 나도 너를 죽이겠다. 내가 너를 죽이지 못한다면, 신들이 나에게 무서운 벌을 내려도 좋다.”
(2) Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, "So may the gods do to me, and even more, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like the life of one of them."
(3) Maka takutlah ia, lalu bangkit dan pergi menyelamatkan nyawanya; dan setelah sampai ke Bersyeba, yang termasuk wilayah Yehuda, ia meninggalkan bujangnya di sana.
(3) 엘리야는 이 말을 듣고 무서워서 도망쳤습니다. 엘리야는 자기 종을 데리고 갔는데, 유다 땅 브엘세바에 이르렀을 때에 그 종을 거기에 남겨 두었습니다.
(3) And Elijah was afraid and arose and ran for his life, and he came to Beersheba which belongs to Judah, and he left his servant there.
(4) Tetapi ia sendiri masuk ke padang gurun sehari perjalanan jauhnya, lalu duduk di bawah sebuah pohon arar. Kemudian ia ingin mati, katanya: "Cukuplah itu! Sekarang, ya TUHAN, ambillah nyawaku, sebab aku ini tidak lebih baik dari pada nenek moyangku."
(4) 엘리야는 하루 종일, 광야로 걸어 들어갔습니다. 그러다가 한 로뎀 나무 밑에 앉아서 하나님께 죽여 달라고 기도했습니다. “여호와여, 이제는 다 되었습니다. 내 목숨을 거두어 가십시오. 나는 내 조상들보다 나을 것이 없습니다.”
(4) But he himself traveled a day's journey into the wilderness, and he came and sat down under a juniper tree and asked [God] that he might die. He said, "It is enough; now, O LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers."
(5) Sesudah itu ia berbaring dan tidur di bawah pohon arar itu. Tetapi tiba-tiba seorang malaikat menyentuh dia serta berkata kepadanya: "Bangunlah, makanlah!"
(5) 그리고 엘리야는 로뎀 나무 밑에 누워 잠이 들었습니다. 그 때, 한 천사가 와서 엘리야를 깨우며 말했습니다. “일어나 먹어라.”
(5) He lay down and slept under the juniper tree, and behold, an angel touched him and said to him, "Get up and eat."
(6) Ketika ia melihat sekitarnya, maka pada sebelah kepalanya ada roti bakar, dan sebuah kendi berisi air. Lalu ia makan dan minum, kemudian berbaring pula.
(6) 엘리야가 보니, 뜨거운 돌 위에 놓인 구운 과자 하나와 물 한 병이 그의 머리맡에 있었습니다. 그는 먹고 마신 다음에 다시 자리에 누웠습니다.
(6) He looked, and by his head there was a bread cake baked on hot coal, and a pitcher of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again.
(7) Tetapi malaikat TUHAN datang untuk kedua kalinya dan menyentuh dia serta berkata: "Bangunlah, makanlah! Sebab kalau tidak, perjalananmu nanti terlalu jauh bagimu."
(7) 여호와의 천사가 그에게 두 번째로 나타났습니다. 천사가 그를 깨우며 말했습니다. “일어나 먹어라. 아직도 갈 길이 멀다.”
(7) Then the angel of the LORD came again a second time and touched him and said, "Get up, and eat, for the journey is too long for you [without adequate sustenance]."
(8) Maka bangunlah ia, lalu makan dan minum, dan oleh kekuatan makanan itu ia berjalan empat puluh hari empat puluh malam lamanya sampai ke gunung Allah, yakni gunung Horeb.
(8) 그래서 엘리야는 자리에서 일어나 먹고 마셨습니다. 그 음식을 먹고 힘을 얻어 엘리야는 사십 일 동안, 밤낮으로 걸어서 하나님의 산인 시내 산으로 갔습니다.
(8) So he got up and ate and drank, and with the strength of that food he traveled forty days and nights to Horeb (Sinai), the mountain of God.

(9) Di sana masuklah ia ke dalam sebuah gua dan bermalam di situ. Maka firman TUHAN datang kepadanya, demikian: "Apakah kerjamu di sini, hai Elia?"
(9) 시내 산에 도착한 엘리야는 한 동굴 속에 들어가 밤을 지냈습니다. 여호와께서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다. “엘리야야, 어찌하여 여기에 있느냐?”
(9) {Elijah at Horeb}There he came to a cave and spent the night in it; and behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and He said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
(10) Jawabnya: "Aku bekerja segiat-giatnya bagi TUHAN, Allah semesta alam, karena orang Israel meninggalkan perjanjian-Mu, meruntuhkan mezbah-mezbah-Mu dan membunuh nabi-nabi-Mu dengan pedang; hanya aku seorang dirilah yang masih hidup dan mereka ingin mencabut nyawaku."
(10) 엘리야가 대답했습니다. “만군의 하나님 여호와여, 저는 언제나 제 힘을 다해 주님을 섬겼습니다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성은 주님과 맺은 언약을 어겼습니다. 그들은 주님의 제단을 부수고 주님의 예언자들을 칼로 죽였습니다. 살아 남은 예언자는 저밖에 없습니다. 그런데 지금 그들은 저까지 죽이려 합니다.”
(10) He said, "I have been very zealous (impassioned) for the LORD God of hosts (armies) [proclaiming what is rightfully and uniquely His]; for the sons of Israel have abandoned (broken) Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I, only I, am left; and they seek to take away my life."
(11) Lalu firman-Nya: "Keluarlah dan berdiri di atas gunung itu di hadapan TUHAN!" Maka TUHAN lalu! Angin besar dan kuat, yang membelah gunung-gunung dan memecahkan bukit-bukit batu, mendahului TUHAN. Tetapi tidak ada TUHAN dalam angin itu. Dan sesudah angin itu datanglah gempa. Tetapi tidak ada TUHAN dalam gempa itu.
(11) 여호와께서 엘리야에게 말씀하셨습니다. “가거라. 산 위에서 내 앞에 서 있어라. 내가 네 앞으로 지나가겠다.” 그러더니 매우 센 바람이 불어와 여호와 앞에서 산을 가르고 큰 바위를 쪼갰습니다. 그러나 여호와께서는 그 바람 속에 계시지 않았습니다. 바람이 불고 난 뒤에 지진이 일어났습니다. 그러나 그 지진 속에도 여호와께서는 계시지 않았습니다.
(11) So He said, "Go out and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD was passing by, and a great and powerful wind was tearing out the mountains and breaking the rocks in pieces before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind, [there was] an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake.
(12) Dan sesudah gempa itu datanglah api. Tetapi tidak ada TUHAN dalam api itu. Dan sesudah api itu datanglah bunyi angin sepoi-sepoi basa.
(12) 지진이 일어난 뒤에 또 불이 났지만 그 불 속에도 여호와께서는 계시지 않았습니다. 불이 난 뒤에는 조용하고 부드러운 목소리가 들렸습니다.
(12) After the earthquake, [there was] a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire, [there was] the sound of a gentle blowing.
(13) Segera sesudah Elia mendengarnya, ia menyelubungi mukanya dengan jubahnya, lalu pergi ke luar dan berdiri di pintu gua itu. Maka datanglah suara kepadanya yang berbunyi: "Apakah kerjamu di sini, hai Elia?"
(13) 엘리야는 그 소리를 듣고 겉옷으로 얼굴을 가렸습니다. 그리고 밖으로 나가서 동굴 입구에 섰습니다. 그 때에 어떤 소리가 들려 왔습니다. “엘리야야! 어찌하여 여기에 있느냐?”
(13) When Elijah heard the sound, he wrapped his face in his mantle (cloak) and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
(14) Jawabnya: "Aku bekerja segiat-giatnya bagi TUHAN, Allah semesta alam, karena orang Israel meninggalkan perjanjian-Mu, meruntuhkan mezbah-mezbah-Mu dan membunuh nabi-nabi-Mu dengan pedang; hanya aku seorang dirilah yang masih hidup, dan mereka ingin mencabut nyawaku."
(14) 엘리야가 대답했습니다. “만군의 하나님 여호와여, 저는 언제나 제 힘을 다해 주님을 섬겼습니다. 그러나 이스라엘 백성은 주님과 맺은 언약을 어겼습니다. 그들은 주님의 제단을 부수고 주님의 예언자들을 칼로 죽였습니다. 살아 남은 예언자는 저밖에 없습니다. 그런데 지금 그들은 저까지 죽이려 합니다.”
(14) He said, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God of hosts (armies), because the sons of Israel have abandoned (broken) Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I, only I, am left; and they seek to take away my life."
(15) Firman TUHAN kepadanya: "Pergilah, kembalilah ke jalanmu, melalui padang gurun ke Damsyik, dan setelah engkau sampai, engkau harus mengurapi Hazael menjadi raja atas Aram.
(15) 여호와께서 엘리야에게 말씀하셨습니다. “네가 왔던 광야 길로 돌아가 다마스커스로 가거라. 그 성에 들어가서 하사엘에게 기름을 부어 아람 왕으로 세워라.
(15) The LORD said to him, "Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael as king over Aram (Syria);
(16) Juga Yehu, cucu Nimsi, haruslah kauurapi menjadi raja atas Israel, dan Elisa bin Safat, dari Abel-Mehola, harus kauurapi menjadi nabi menggantikan engkau.
(16) 그런 다음에 님시의 아들 예후에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕으로 세워라. 그리고 아벨므홀라 사람 사밧의 아들 엘리사에게 기름을 부어라. 그는 너의 뒤를 이을 예언자가 될 것이다.
(16) and you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel; and anoint Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah as prophet in your place.
(17) Maka siapa yang terluput dari pedang Hazael akan dibunuh oleh Yehu; dan siapa yang terluput dari pedang Yehu akan dibunuh oleh Elisa.
(17) 하사엘의 칼을 피해서 도망치는 사람은 예후가 죽일 것이요, 예후의 칼을 피해서 도망치는 사람은 엘리사가 죽일 것이다.
(17) It shall come about that Jehu shall put to death whoever escapes from the sword of Hazael, and Elisha shall put to death whoever escapes the sword of Jehu.
(18) Tetapi Aku akan meninggalkan tujuh ribu orang di Israel, yakni semua orang yang tidak sujud menyembah Baal dan yang mulutnya tidak mencium dia."
(18) 또한 내가 이스라엘에 칠천 명을 남겨 두었는데, 그들은 한 번도 바알에게 절한 적이 없고 바알의 우상에게 입을 맞춘 적이 없는 사람들이다.”
(18) Yet I will leave 7,000 [survivors] in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed down to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him."
19:19-21 = Elisa terpanggil

(19) Setelah Elia pergi dari sana, ia bertemu dengan Elisa bin Safat yang sedang membajak dengan dua belas pasang lembu, sedang ia sendiri mengemudikan yang kedua belas. Ketika Elia lalu dari dekatnya, ia melemparkan jubahnya kepadanya.
(19) 엘리야가 그 곳을 떠나서 사밧의 아들 엘리사를 찾았습니다. 엘리사는 밭에서 열두 쌍의 소가 끄는 쟁기로 밭을 갈고 있었습니다. 엘리사는 열한 쌍의 소를 앞세우고 열두 번째 소가 끄는 쟁기로 밭을 갈고 있었는데, 엘리야는 엘리사 곁으로 지나가면서 입고 있던 겉옷을 그에게 입혀 주었습니다.
(19) So Elijah departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, while he was plowing with twelve pairs of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. Elijah went over to him and threw his mantle (coat) on him.
(20) Lalu Elisa meninggalkan lembu itu dan berlari mengikuti Elia, katanya: "Biarkanlah aku mencium ayahku dan ibuku dahulu, lalu aku akan mengikuti engkau." Jawabnya kepadanya: "Baiklah, pulang dahulu, dan ingatlah apa yang telah kuperbuat kepadamu."
(20) 그러자 엘리사가 소를 버려 두고 엘리야에게 달려와서 말했습니다. “내 아버지와 어머니에게 작별 인사를 하고 오게 해 주십시오. 그런 다음에 선생님을 따라가겠습니다.” 엘리야가 대답했습니다. “돌아가거라. 말리지 않겠다.”
(20) He left the oxen and ran after Elijah and said, "Please let me kiss my father and mother [goodbye], then I will follow you." And he said to him, "Go on back; for what have I done to [stop] you?"
(21) Lalu berbaliklah ia dari pada Elia, ia mengambil pasangan lembu itu, menyembelihnya dan memasak dagingnya dengan bajak lembu itu sebagai kayu api; ia memberikan daging itu kepada orang-orangnya, kemudian makanlah mereka. Sesudah itu bersiaplah ia, lalu mengikuti Elia dan menjadi pelayannya.
(21) 엘리사가 집으로 돌아가 소 두 마리를 잡고 소가 메던 멍에로 불을 때서 고기 요리를 만들어 사람들에게 주었습니다. 사람들이 요리를 먹은 뒤에 엘리사는 그 곳을 떠나 엘리야를 따라가 그의 제자가 되었습니다.
(21) So Elisha left him and went back. Then he took a pair of oxen and sacrificed them and boiled their meat with the implements of the oxen [as fuel], and gave the meat to the people, and they ate. Then he stood and followed Elijah, and served him.
