(1) (40-20) "Dapatkah engkau menarik buaya dengan kail, atau mengimpit lidahnya dengan tali?(1) “네가 낚시 고리로 악어를 끌어 낼 수 있겠느냐? 끈으로 그의 혀를 맬 수 있겠느냐?(1) {God's Power Shown in Creatures}"Can you draw out Leviathan with a fishhook? Or press down his tongue with a cord?
(2) (40-21) Dapatkah engkau mengenakan tali rotan pada hidungnya, mencocok rahangnya dengan kaitan?(2) 그의 코에 끈을 꿰고 갈고리로 그의 턱을 낚아챌 수 있겠느냐?(2) "Can you put a rope [made] of rushes into his nose Or pierce his jaw through with a hook?
(3) (40-22) Mungkinkah ia mengajukan banyak permohonan belas kasihan kepadamu, atau berbicara dengan lemah lembut kepadamu?(3) 그것이 네게, ‘살려 주세요!’ 하며 애원하겠느냐? 부드러운 말로 간청하겠느냐?(3) "Will he make many supplications to you [begging to be spared]? Or will he speak soft words to you [to coax you to treat him kindly]?
(4) (40-23) Mungkinkah ia mengikat perjanjian dengan engkau, sehingga engkau mengambil dia menjadi hamba untuk selama-lamanya?(4) 그것이 너와 약속을 하여 평생 너의 노예가 될 것 같으냐?(4) "Will he make a covenant or an arrangement with you? Will you take him for your servant forever?
(5) (40-24) Dapatkah engkau bermain-main dengan dia seperti dengan burung, dan mengikat dia untuk anak-anakmu perempuan?(5) 네가 그것을 새와 놀 수 있는 것처럼 만들어 네 어린 소녀들에게 쥐어 줄 수 있겠느냐?(5) "Will you play with him as with a bird? Or will you bind him [and put him on a leash] for your maidens?
(6) (40-25) Mungkinkah kawan-kawan nelayan memperdagangkan dia, atau membagi-bagikan dia di antara pedagang-pedagang?(6) 어부들이 그것을 가지고 상인들에게 팔 수 있겠느냐? 상인들은 그것을 가게에 가지고 나와 팔 수 있겠느냐?(6) "Will traders bargain over him? Will they divide him up among the merchants?
(7) (40-26) Dapatkah engkau menusuki kulitnya dengan serampang, dan kepalanya dengan tempuling?(7) 네가 그것의 가죽에 창을, 그 머리에 작살을 꽂을 수 있겠느냐?(7) "Can you fill his skin with harpoons, Or his head with fishing spears?
(8) (40-27) Letakkan tanganmu ke atasnya! Ingatlah pertarungannya! --Engkau takkan melakukannya lagi!(8) 그것에게 네 손을 대어 보아라. 그것이 날뛰면 네가 다시 그런 일을 할 생각이나 하겠느냐?(8) "Lay your hand on him; Remember the battle [with him]; you will not do such [an ill-advised thing] again!
(9) (40-28) Sesungguhnya, harapanmu hampa! Baru saja melihat dia, orang sudah terbanting.(9) 그것을 굴복시킬 수 있다는 생각은 헛된 것이 아니겠느냐? 보기만 해도 기가 꺾이지 않느냐?(9) "Behold, his [assailant's] hope and expectation [of defeating Leviathan] is false; Will not one be overwhelmed even at the sight of him?
(10) (41-1) Orang yang nekatpun takkan berani membangkitkan marahnya. Siapakah yang dapat bertahan di hadapan Aku?(10) 아무리 용감한 자라 해도 그것조차 깨우지 못하는데, 누가 감히 내게 맞설 수 있겠느냐?(10) "No one is so fierce [and foolhardy] that he dares to stir up Leviathan; Who then is he who can stand before Me [or dares to contend with Me, the beast's creator]?
(11) (41-2) Siapakah yang menghadapi Aku, yang Kubiarkan tetap selamat? Apa yang ada di seluruh kolong langit, adalah kepunyaan-Ku.(11) 누가 내게 주고 나서 갚기를 바랄 수 있느냐? 세상의 모든 것이 내게 속하지 않았느냐?(11) "Who has first given to Me that I should repay him? Whatever is under the whole heaven is Mine. [Who can have a claim against Me who made the unmastered beast?]
(12) (41-3) Aku tidak akan berdiam diri tentang anggota-anggota badannya, tentang keperkasaannya dan perawakannya yang tampan.(12) 그 악어의 다리와 그 힘과 위엄찬 모습을 어찌 말하지 않을 수 있겠느냐?(12) "I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, Nor his mighty strength, nor his orderly frame.
(13) (41-4) Siapakah dapat menyingkapkan pakaian luarnya? Baju zirahnya yang berlapis dua, siapakah dapat menembusnya?(13) 누가 그의 갑옷을 벗기고 감히 재갈을 가지고 그에게 다가설 수 있겠느냐?(13) "Who can penetrate or strip off his outer armor? Who can come to his jaws with a double bridle?
(14) (41-5) Siapa dapat membuka pintu moncongnya? Di sekeliling giginya ada kengerian.(14) 누가 감히 그 끔찍한 이빨들이 늘어선 턱을 벌릴 수 있겠느냐?(14) "Who can open the doors (jaws) of his face? Around his [open jaws and] teeth there is terror.
(15) (41-6) Punggungnya adalah perisai-perisai yang bersusun, terlekat rapat seperti meterai.(15) 그 등은 방패들이 서로 단단히 연결되어 늘어선 모습과 같고(15) "His strong scales are his pride, Bound together as with a tight seal.
(16) (41-7) Rapat hubungannya yang satu dengan yang lain, sehingga angin tidak dapat masuk;(16) 비늘과 비늘은 서로 이어져 있어서 바람조차 통할 수 없다.(16) "One is so near to another That no air can come between them.
(17) (41-8) yang satu melekat pada yang lain, bertautan tak terceraikan lagi.(17) 이처럼 비늘들은 서로 이어져서 함께 붙어 나눌 수 없다.(17) "They are joined one to another; They stick together and cannot be separated.
(18) (41-9) Bersinnya menyinarkan cahaya, matanya laksana merekahnya fajar.(18) 재채기와 함께 번갯불이 번쩍이고, 그 두 눈은 동틀 때의 쏟아지는 햇살 같구나.(18) "His sneezes flash forth light, And his eyes are like the [reddish] eyelids of the dawn.
(19) (41-10) Dari dalam mulutnya keluar suluh, dan berpancaran bunga api.(19) 입에서는 타는 횃불이 나오고 불똥이 튀어 나온다.(19) "Out of his mouth go burning torches, And sparks of fire leap out.
(20) (41-11) Dari dalam lubang hidungnya mengepul uap bagaikan dari dalam belanga yang mendidih dan menggelegak isinya.(20) 그 두 콧구멍에서 연기가 품어 나오니, 마치 끓는 솥에서 나오는 것 같구나.(20) "Out of his nostrils smoke goes forth As from a boiling pot and [as from] burning rushes.
(21) (41-12) Nafasnya menyalakan bara, dan nyala api keluar dari dalam mulutnya.(21) 입김이 숯불을 일으킬 것 같으니, 그 입에서는 불꽃이 쏟아진다.(21) "His breath kindles coals, And a flame goes forth from his mouth.
(22) (41-13) Di dalam tengkuknya ada kekuatan; ketakutan berlompatan di hadapannya.(22) 그 목덜미에 힘이 있어, 그 앞에서는 절망도 달아난다.(22) "In Leviathan's neck resides strength, And dismay and terror dance before him.
(23) (41-14) Daging gelambirnya berlekatan, melekat padanya, tidak tergerak.(23) 근육들은 서로 단단히 엉켜 있고, 견고하여 떼어 낼 수 없구나.(23) "The folds of his flesh are joined together, Firm on him and immobile [when he moves].
(24) (41-15) Hatinya keras seperti batu, keras seperti batu kilangan bawah.(24) 그 심장은 돌같이 단단하고, 맷돌 아랫짝처럼 강하구나.(24) "His heart is as hard as a stone, Indeed, as solid as a lower millstone.
(25) (41-16) Bila ia bangkit, maka semua yang berkuasa menjadi gentar, menjadi bingung karena ketakutan.(25) 그 놈이 한번 일어나면, 강한 자도 그 위세 앞에 겁을 먹고 뒷걸음질 친다.(25) "When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid; Because of the crashing they are bewildered.
(26) (41-17) Bila ia diserang dengan pedang, ia tidak mempan, demikian juga dengan tombak, seligi atau lembing.(26) 칼로 찔러도 소용이 없고, 창이나 표창, 단창도 아무 소용 없구나.(26) "The sword that reaches him cannot avail, Nor [does] the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
(27) (41-18) Besi dirasanya seperti jerami, tembaga seperti kayu lapuk.(27) 악어는 철을 지푸라기처럼 구리를 썩은 나무처럼 생각하니,(27) "He considers iron as straw, Bronze as rotten wood.
(28) (41-19) Anak panah tidak dapat menghalau dia, batu umban seolah-olah berubah padanya menjadi jerami.(28) 화살을 쏘아도 꿈쩍하지 않고, 물맷돌도 그것에게는 날리는 겨와 같다.(28) "The arrow cannot make him flee; Slingstones are treated as stubble by him.
(29) (41-20) Gada dianggapnya jerami dan ia menertawakan desingan lembing.(29) 몽둥이를 지푸라기처럼 여기고, 표창을 날려도 코웃음만 칠 뿐이다.(29) "Clubs [also] are regarded as stubble; He laughs at the rushing and the rattling of the javelin.
(30) (41-21) Pada bagian bawahnya ada tembikar yang runcing; ia membujur di atas lumpur seperti pengeretan pengirik.(30) 그것의 밑바닥은 날카로운 질그릇 같아서 진흙에서 쟁기질한 것 같은 자국을 만든다.(30) "His underparts are like sharp pieces of broken pottery; He moves across and spreads out [grooves] like a threshing sledge on the mire (muddy river banks).
(31) (41-22) Lubuk dibuatnya berbual-bual seperti periuk, laut dijadikannya tempat memasak campuran rempah-rempah.(31) 깊은 물을 마치 끓는 가마솥같이 만들고, 바다를 기름 가마처럼 만든다.(31) "He makes the deep water boil like a pot; He makes the sea like a [foaming] pot of ointment.
(32) (41-23) Ia meninggalkan jejak yang bercahaya, sehingga samudera raya disangka orang rambut putih.(32) 지나가며 번쩍이는 물보라를 날리니, 흰머리를 날리는 것처럼 보인다.(32) "Behind him he makes a shining wake; One would think the deep to be gray-haired [with foam].
(33) (41-24) Tidak ada taranya di atas bumi; itulah makhluk yang tidak mengenal takut.(33) 지구상에 그것과 같이 두려움을 모르는 것이 없다.(33) "Upon earth there is nothing like him—no equal exists, A creature made without fear.
(34) (41-25) Segala yang tinggi takut kepadanya; ia adalah raja atas segala binatang yang ganas."(34) 그것이 교만한 자들을 모두 낮추어 보니, 모든 자랑하는 자들의 왕이로다.”(34) "He looks on everything that is high [without terror]; He is monarch over all the sons of pride. [And now, Job, who are you who does not dare to disturb the beast, yet who dares resist Me, the beast's creator? Everything under the heavens is Mine; therefore, who can have a claim against God?]"
