Judul
(1) Perkataan yang dinyatakan kepada Amos, salah seorang peternak domba dari Tekoa, tentang Israel pada zaman Uzia, raja Yehuda, dan dalam zaman Yerobeam, anak Yoas, raja Israel, dua tahun sebelum gempa bumi.
(1) 아모스는 드고아 마을의 목자였는데, 하나님께서 그에게 이스라엘에 대한 환상을 보여 주셨습니다. 그 때는 웃시야가 유다 왕이었고, 요아스의 아들 여로보암이 이스라엘 왕이었으며, 지진이 일어나기 두 해 전이었습니다.
(1) {Judgment on Neighboring Nations}The words of Amos, who was among the sheepherders of Tekoa, which he saw [in a divine revelation] concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

(2) Berkatalah ia: "TUHAN mengaum dari Sion dan dari Yerusalem Ia memperdengarkan suara-Nya; keringlah padang-padang penggembalaan dan layulah puncak gunung Karmel."
(2) 아모스가 말했습니다. “여호와께서 사자처럼 시온에서 부르짖고 예루살렘에서 큰 소리를 내시니 목자의 풀밭이 시들고 갈멜 산조차 메마른다.”
(2) And he said, "The LORD thunders and roars from Zion [in judgment] And utters His voice from Jerusalem; Then the pastures of the shepherds mourn, And the summit of [Mount] Carmel dries up [because of God's judgment]."
(3) Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat Damsyik, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena mereka telah mengirik Gilead dengan eretan pengirik dari besi,
(3) 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “다마스커스가 많은 죄를 지었으므로, 내가 그들을 심판하겠다. 이는 그들이 쇠톱니가 달린 타작판으로 길르앗 백성을 압제했기 때문이다.
(3) Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Damascus and for four (multiplied delinquencies) I shall not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it, Because they have threshed Gilead [east of the Jordan River] with sharp iron sledges [having spikes that crushed and shredded].
(4) Aku akan melepas api ke dalam istana Hazael, sehingga puri Benhadad dimakan habis;
(4) 그러므로 내가 하사엘의 집에 불을 보내겠다. 그 불이 벤하닷의 요새들을 태울 것이다.
(4) "So I will send a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction] upon the house of Hazael, And it shall devour the palaces and strongholds of Ben-hadad (Hazael's son).
(5) Aku akan mematahkan palang pintu Damsyik dan melenyapkan penduduk dari Bikeat-Awen serta pemegang tongkat kerajaan dari Bet-Eden; dan rakyat Aram harus pergi sebagai orang buangan ke Kir," firman TUHAN.
(5) 내가 다마스커스의 문을 부수고 아웬 골짜기의 주민들을 없애고 벧에덴의 왕도 없애겠다. 아람 백성은 길 땅으로 끌려갈 것이다.” 여호와의 말씀이다.
(5) "I also will break the bar [of the gate] of Damascus, And cut off and destroy the inhabitant from the Valley of Aven (Wickedness), And the ruler who holds the scepter, from Beth-eden (Damascus); And the people of Aram [conquered by the Assyrians] will go into exile to Kir," Says the LORD.
(6) Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat Gaza, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena mereka telah mengangkut ke dalam pembuangan suatu bangsa seluruhnya, untuk diserahkan kepada Edom,
(6) 여호와께서 말씀하셨다. “가사가 죄를 많이 지었으므로, 내가 그들을 심판하겠다. 이는 그들이 그 곳의 온 백성을 사로잡아 에돔으로 팔아 넘겼기 때문이다.
(6) Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Gaza [in Philistia] and for four (multiplied delinquencies) I will not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it, Because [as slave traders] they took captive the entire [Jewish] population [of defenseless Judean border villages, of which none was spared] And deported them to Edom [for the slave trade].
(7) Aku akan melepas api ke dalam tembok Gaza, sehingga purinya dimakan habis;
(7) 그러므로 내가 가사 성에 불을 보내겠다. 그 불이 그 성의 요새들을 태울 것이다.
(7) "So I will send a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction] on the wall of Gaza And it shall consume her citadels.
(8) Aku akan melenyapkan penduduk dari Asdod dan pemegang tongkat kerajaan dari Askelon; Aku akan mengacungkan tangan-Ku melawan Ekron, sehingga binasalah sisa-sisa orang Filistin," firman Tuhan ALLAH.
(8) 내가 또 아스돗의 주민을 없애고 아스글론의 왕을 없애겠다. 나의 손을 돌이켜 에그론 백성을 치고 블레셋의 남은 사람을 벌할 것이다.” 주 여호와의 말씀이다.
(8) "And I will cut off and destroy the inhabitants from Ashdod, And the ruler who holds the scepter, from Ashkelon; And I will unleash My power and turn My hand [in judgment] against Ekron, And the rest of the Philistines [in Gath and the towns dependent on these four Philistine cities] shall die," Says the Lord GOD.
(9) Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat Tirus, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena mereka telah menyerahkan tertawan suatu bangsa seluruhnya kepada Edom dan tidak mengingat perjanjian persaudaraan,
(9) 여호와께서 말씀하셨다. “두로가 죄를 많이 지었으므로, 내가 그들을 심판하겠다. 이는 그들이 이스라엘과 맺은 형제의 언약을 기억하지 않고, 그 곳의 모든 백성을 사로잡아 에돔에 종으로 팔아넘겼기 때문이다.
(9) Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Tyre and for four (multiplied delinquencies) I will not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it, Because they [as middlemen] deported an entire [Jewish] population to Edom And did not [seriously] remember their covenant of brotherhood.
(10) Aku akan melepas api ke dalam tembok Tirus, sehingga purinya dimakan habis."
(10) 그러므로 내가 두로 성에 불을 보내겠다. 그 불이 그 성의 요새들을 태울 것이다.”
(10) "So I will send a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction] on the wall of Tyre, And it shall consume her citadels."
(11) Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat Edom, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena ia mengejar saudaranya dengan pedang dan mengekang belas kasihannya, memendamkan amarahnya untuk selamanya dan menyimpan gemasnya untuk seterusnya,
(11) 여호와께서 말씀하셨다. “에돔이 죄를 많이 지었으므로, 내가 그들을 심판하겠다. 이는 그들이 칼을 들고 그의 형제인 이스라엘 백성을 뒤쫓았으며, 자비로운 마음을 버렸기 때문이다. 에돔 백성은 언제나 화를 냈으며 분노를 거두어들이지 않았다.
(11) Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of Edom [the descendants of Esau] and for four (multiplied delinquencies) I will not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it, Because he pursued his brother Jacob (Israel) with the sword, Corrupting and stifling his compassions and casting off all mercy; His destructive anger raged continually, And he maintained [and nurtured] his wrath forever.
(12) Aku akan melepas api ke dalam Teman, sehingga puri Bozra dimakan habis."
(12) 그러므로 내가 데만 성에 불을 보내겠다. 그 불이 보스라의 요새들을 태울 것이다.”
(12) "So I will send a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction] upon Teman, And it shall consume the citadels of Bozrah [in Edom]."
(13) Beginilah firman TUHAN: "Karena tiga perbuatan jahat bani Amon, bahkan empat, Aku tidak akan menarik kembali keputusan-Ku: Oleh karena mereka membelah perut perempuan-perempuan hamil di Gilead dengan maksud meluaskan daerah mereka sendiri,
(13) 여호와께서 말씀하셨다. “암몬이 죄를 많이 지었으므로, 내가 그들을 심판하겠다. 이는 그들이 땅을 넓히려고 길르앗으로 쳐들어가서 아이 밴 여자들의 배를 갈랐기 때문이다.
(13) Thus says the LORD, "For three transgressions of the children of Ammon and for four (multiplied delinquencies) I will not reverse its punishment or revoke My word concerning it, Because the Ammonites have ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead, That they might enlarge their border.
(14) Aku akan menyalakan api di dalam tembok Raba, sehingga purinya dimakan habis, diiringi sorak-sorai pada waktu pertempuran, diiringi angin badai pada waktu puting beliung;
(14) 그러므로 내가 랍바 성에 불을 보내겠다. 그 불이 그의 요새들을 태울 것이다. 전쟁하는 동안, 폭풍 속의 회오리바람 같은 거친 함성이 들리고, 싸움은 맹렬할 것이다.
(14) "So I will kindle a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction] on the wall of Rabbah [in Ammon] And it shall devour its strongholds Amid war cries and shouts of alarm on the day of battle, And a tempest on the day of the whirlwind [when the enemy captures the city].
(15) dan raja mereka harus pergi sebagai orang buangan, ia bersama-sama dengan pembesar-pembesarnya," firman TUHAN.
(15) 그 때에 그들의 왕과 신하들은 모두 포로로 사로잡혀 갈 것이다.” 여호와의 말씀이다.
(15) "Their king shall go into exile, He and his princes together," says the LORD.
