Penglihatan pertama: Belalang
(1) Inilah yang diperlihatkan Tuhan ALLAH kepadaku: Tampak Ia membentuk kawanan belalang, pada waktu rumput akhir mulai tumbuh, yaitu rumput akhir sesudah yang dipotong bagi raja.
(1) 주 여호와께서 내게 보여 주신 것이 이러하다. 주께서 메뚜기 떼를 보낼 준비를 하고 계셨다. 왕이 첫 작물 가운데서 그의 몫으로 재물을 받은 뒤이며, 두 번째 작물이 막 자라기 시작할 때였다.
(1) {Warning Through Visions}Thus the Lord GOD showed me [a vision], and behold, He was forming a swarm of locusts when the spring crop began to sprout. And behold, the spring crop was after the king's mowing.
(2) Ketika belalang mulai menghabisi tumbuh-tumbuhan di tanah, berkatalah aku: "Tuhan ALLAH, berikanlah kiranya pengampunan! Bagaimanakah Yakub dapat bertahan? Bukankah ia kecil?"
(2) 메뚜기 떼가 땅 위의 작물을 모두 먹어치웠다. 그런 일이 있은 뒤에 내가 말했다. “주 여호와여, 용서해 주소서. 야곱 가운데 그 누구도 이 일을 견뎌 낼 수 없습니다. 이스라엘은 너무 작습니다.”
(2) And when the locusts had finished eating the plants of the land, then I said, "O Lord GOD, please forgive! How can Jacob stand, For he is so small [that he cannot endure this]?"
(3) Maka menyesallah TUHAN karena hal itu. "Itu tidak akan terjadi," firman TUHAN.
(3) 그러자 여호와께서 이 일에 대해 생각을 바꾸셨다. “이 일은 일어나지 않을 것이다.” 주께서 말씀하셨다.
(3) The LORD revoked this sentence. "It shall not take place," said the LORD.
Penglihatan kedua: Api
(4) Inilah yang diperlihatkan Tuhan ALLAH kepadaku: Tampak Tuhan ALLAH memanggil api untuk melakukan hukuman. Api itu memakan habis samudera raya dan akan memakan habis tanah ladang.
(4) 주 여호와께서 내게 보여 주신 것이 이러하다. 주 여호와께서 심판하시려고 불을 준비하고 계셨다. 불이 바다 깊은 곳까지 마르게 하고, 온 땅을 황폐하게 했다.
(4) Thus the Lord GOD showed me, and behold, the Lord GOD called for punishment with fire, and it devoured the great deep [underground sources of water] and began to consume the land.
(5) Lalu aku berkata: "Tuhan ALLAH, hentikanlah kiranya! Bagaimanakah Yakub dapat bertahan? Bukankah ia kecil?"
(5) 그 때에 내가 외쳤다. “주 여호와여, 그치게 해 주십시오. 야곱 가운데 그 누구도 이 일을 견뎌 낼 수 없습니다. 이스라엘은 너무 작습니다.”
(5) Then I said, "O Lord GOD, please stop! How can Jacob stand, For he is so small [that he cannot endure this]?"
(6) Maka menyesallah TUHAN karena hal itu. "Inipun tidak akan terjadi," firman Tuhan ALLAH.
(6) 그러자 주 여호와께서 이 일에 대해 생각을 바꾸셨다. “이 일은 일어나지 않을 것이다.” 여호와께서 말씀하셨다.
(6) The LORD revoked this sentence. "This also shall not be," said the Lord GOD.
Penglihatan ketiga: Tali sipat
(7) Inilah yang diperlihatkan-Nya kepadaku: Tampak Tuhan berdiri dekat sebuah tembok yang tegak lurus, dan di tangan-Nya ada tali sipat.
(7) 주 하나님께서 내게 보여 주신 것이 이러하다. 주께서는 다림줄을 이용하여 쌓은 벽 옆에 서서, 그 벽이 반듯한가를 다림줄로 검사하고 계셨다.
(7) Thus He showed me [a vision], and behold, the Lord was standing by a vertical wall with a plumb line in His hand [to determine if the wall was straight or if it needed to be destroyed].
(8) Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepadaku: "Apakah yang kaulihat, Amos?" Jawabku: "Tali sipat!" Berfirmanlah Tuhan: "Sesungguhnya, Aku akan menaruh tali sipat di tengah-tengah umat-Ku Israel; Aku tidak akan memaafkannya lagi.
(8) 주께서 내게 말씀하셨다. “아모스야, 무엇이 보이느냐?” 내가 대답했다. “다림줄이 보입니다.” 주께서 다시 말씀하셨다. “보아라. 내가 내 백성 이스라엘 가운데 다림줄을 늘어뜨려서 그들이 얼마나 굽었는지 보여 주겠다. 다시는 그들을 불쌍히 여기지 않겠다.”
(8) The LORD said to me, "Amos, what do you see?" And I said, "A plumb line." Then the Lord said, "Behold, I am setting a plumb line [as a standard] Among My people Israel [showing the defectiveness of the nation, requiring judgment]. I shall not spare them any longer. [The door of mercy is shut.]
(9) Bukit-bukit pengorbanan dari pada Ishak akan dilicintandaskan dan tempat-tempat kudus Israel akan diruntuhkan, dan Aku akan bangkit melawan keluarga Yerobeam dengan pedang."
(9) “이삭의 산당들이 황폐하게 될 것이다. 이스라엘의 거룩한 곳들이 폐허로 변할 것이다. 내가 여로보암 왕의 집을 칼로 치겠다.”
(9) "And the [idolatrous] high places of Isaac (Israel) will be devastated and deserted, And the sanctuaries of Israel will be in ruins. Then I shall rise up against the house of Jeroboam with the sword [and destroy the monarchy]."
Amos diusir
(10) Lalu Amazia, imam di Betel, menyuruh orang menghadap Yerobeam, raja Israel, dengan pesan: "Amos telah mengadakan persepakatan melawan tuanku di tengah-tengah kaum Israel; negeri ini tidak dapat lagi menahan segala perkataannya.
(10) 그러자 벧엘의 제사장 아마샤가 이스라엘 왕 여로보암에게 사람을 보내어 이렇게 전했습니다. “아모스가 이스라엘 백성과 함께 왕에 대한 반란을 꾀하고 있습니다. 이 나라는 더 이상 그의 모든 말을 참을 수 없습니다.
(10) {Amos Accused, Answers}Then Amaziah, the priest of Bethel [site of the golden calf shrine], sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, "Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is unable to endure all his words.
(11) Sebab beginilah dikatakan Amos: Yerobeam akan mati terbunuh oleh pedang dan Israel pasti pergi dari tanahnya sebagai orang buangan."
(11) 아모스는 ‘여로보암은 칼로 죽을 것이고 이스라엘 백성은 사로잡힌 채 포로로 끌려갈 것이다’ 라고 말했습니다.”
(11) For in this way Amos has said, 'Jeroboam will die by the sword and Israel will certainly go from its land into exile.'"
(12) Lalu berkatalah Amazia kepada Amos: "Pelihat, pergilah, enyahlah ke tanah Yehuda! Carilah makananmu di sana dan bernubuatlah di sana!
(12) 이어서 아마샤가 아모스에게 명령하였습니다. “예언자야, 여기를 떠나라! 유다 땅으로 가 버려라. 거기에 가서 예언하면서 벌어먹고 살아라!
(12) Then Amaziah said to Amos, "Go, you seer, run for your life [from Israel] to the land of Judah [your own country] and eat bread and live as a prophet there!
(13) Tetapi jangan lagi bernubuat di Betel, sebab inilah tempat kudus raja, inilah bait suci kerajaan."
(13) 다시는 이 곳 벧엘에서 예언하지 마라. 이 곳은 여로보암 왕의 거룩한 곳이요, 이스라엘의 성전이다!”
(13) But do not prophesy any longer at Bethel, for it is the king's sanctuary and a royal residence."
(14) Jawab Amos kepada Amazia: "Aku ini bukan nabi dan aku ini tidak termasuk golongan nabi, melainkan aku ini seorang peternak dan pemungut buah ara hutan.
(14) 그러자 아모스가 아마샤에게 대답했습니다. “나는 예언자도 아니고 예언자의 아들도 아니다. 나는 단지 목자이며, 무화과나무를 기르며 사는 사람일 뿐이다.
(14) Then Amos replied to Amaziah, "I am not a prophet [by profession], nor am I a prophet's son; I am a herdsman and a grower of sycamore figs.
(15) Tetapi TUHAN mengambil aku dari pekerjaan menggiring kambing domba, dan TUHAN berfirman kepadaku: Pergilah, bernubuatlah terhadap umat-Ku Israel.
(15) 그러나 여호와께서 양 떼를 치던 나를 불러 내셔서 ‘가서 내 백성 이스라엘에게 예언하여라’ 하고 말씀하셨다.
(15) But the LORD took me as I followed the flock and the LORD said to me, 'Go, prophesy to My people Israel.'
(16) Maka sekarang, dengarlah firman TUHAN! Engkau berkata: Janganlah bernubuat menentang Israel, dan janganlah ucapkan perkataan menentang keturunan Ishak.
(16) 그러므로 이제는 여호와의 말씀을 들어라. 너는 나에게 ‘이스라엘에 대한 예언을 하지 말고 이삭의 자손을 치는 예언을 그만두어라’ 하고 말했다.
(16) Now therefore, listen to the word of the LORD: You say, 'You shall not prophesy against Israel nor shall you speak against the house of Isaac.'
(17) Sebab itu beginilah firman TUHAN: Isterimu akan bersundal di kota, dan anak-anakmu laki-laki dan perempuan akan tewas oleh pedang; tanahmu akan dibagi-bagikan dengan memakai tali pengukur, engkau sendiri akan mati di tanah yang najis, dan Israel pasti pergi dari tanahnya sebagai orang buangan."
(17) 너의 말 때문에 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하셨다. ‘네 아내는 성에서 창녀가 될 것이며, 네 아들과 딸들은 칼로 죽을 것이다. 다른 사람들이 네 땅을 빼앗아 나누어 가질 것이며 너는 낯선 땅에서 죽을 것이다. 이스라엘 백성은 틀림없이 그 땅에서 쫓겨나 포로로 끌려갈 것이다.’”
(17) Therefore, thus says the LORD, 'Your wife shall become a prostitute in the city [when the Assyrians capture Samaria] and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by a measuring line; you yourself shall die in an unclean and defiled [pagan] land, and Israel shall certainly go from its land into exile.'"
