1:1-2 = Salam
(1) Dari Paulus, yang oleh kehendak Allah menjadi rasul Kristus Yesus, dan dari Timotius saudara kita, kepada jemaat Allah di Korintus dengan semua orang kudus di seluruh Akhaya.
(1) 하나님의 뜻에 의해 그리스도 예수의 사도가 된 나 바울과 형제 디모데는 고린도에 있는 하나님의 교회와 아가야 전 지역에 있는 모든 성도들에게 이 편지를 씁니다.
(1) {Introduction}Paul, an apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Christ Jesus (the Messiah) by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, To the church of God which is at Corinth, and to all the saints (God's people) throughout Achaia (southern Greece):
(2) Kasih karunia dan damai sejahtera dari Allah, Bapa kita, dan dari Tuhan Yesus Kristus menyertai kamu.
(2) 하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도께서 내리시는 은혜와 평강이 여러분에게 있기를 빕니다.
(2) Grace to you and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1:3-11 = Ucapan syukur
(3) Terpujilah Allah, Bapa Tuhan kita Yesus Kristus, Bapa yang penuh belas kasihan dan Allah sumber segala penghiburan,
(3) 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님과 아버지를 찬송합니다. 그분은 인자하신 아버지이시며, 모든 위로의 아버지이십니다.
(3) Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort,
(4) yang menghibur kami dalam segala penderitaan kami, sehingga kami sanggup menghibur mereka, yang berada dalam bermacam-macam penderitaan dengan penghiburan yang kami terima sendiri dari Allah.
(4) 하나님은 우리가 여러 가지 환난을 당할 때 위로해 주셔서, 우리가 하나님께 받은 위로로써 여러 환난을 당한 사람들을 위로할 수 있게 하셨습니다.
(4) who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
(5) Sebab sama seperti kami mendapat bagian berlimpah-limpah dalam kesengsaraan Kristus, demikian pula oleh Kristus kami menerima penghiburan berlimpah-limpah.
(5) 그리스도의 고난이 우리에게 넘쳐나는 것처럼, 그리스도로 말미암아 받는 우리의 위로도 넘치게 되었습니다.
(5) For just as Christ's sufferings are ours in abundance [as they overflow to His followers], so also our comfort [our reassurance, our encouragement, our consolation] is abundant through Christ [it is truly more than enough to endure what we must].
(6) Jika kami menderita, hal itu menjadi penghiburan dan keselamatan kamu; jika kami dihibur, maka hal itu adalah untuk penghiburan kamu, sehingga kamu beroleh kekuatan untuk dengan sabar menderita kesengsaraan yang sama seperti yang kami derita juga.
(6) 우리가 환난을 당한다면, 이것은 여러분을 위로하고 구원 받게 하기 위한 것입니다. 우리가 위로를 받는다면, 그것도 여러분을 위로해 주기 위한 것입니다. 이 위로로 여러분은 우리가 당하는 고난과 동일한 고난을 받을 때에 오래 참습니다.
(6) But if we are troubled and distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted and encouraged, it is for your comfort, which works [in you] when you patiently endure the same sufferings which we experience.
(7) Dan pengharapan kami akan kamu adalah teguh, karena kami tahu, bahwa sama seperti kamu turut mengambil bagian dalam kesengsaraan kami, kamu juga turut mengambil bagian dalam penghiburan kami.
(7) 여러분을 향한 우리의 소망은 확고합니다. 왜냐하면 여러분이 우리가 당하는 고난에 참여한 것처럼 우리가 받는 위로에도 참여하고 있음을 알기 때문입니다.
(7) And our hope for you [our confident expectation of good for you] is firmly grounded [assured and unshaken], since we know that just as you share as partners in our sufferings, so also you share as partners in our comfort.
(8) Sebab kami mau, saudara-saudara, supaya kamu tahu akan penderitaan yang kami alami di Asia Kecil. Beban yang ditanggungkan atas kami adalah begitu besar dan begitu berat, sehingga kami telah putus asa juga akan hidup kami.
(8) 성도 여러분, 우리가 아시아 지방에서 당한 환난을 여러분이 알아 주시기를 원합니다. 우리는 감당하기 어려운 환난을 당해, 삶의 소망조차 없었습니다.
(8) For we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about our trouble in [the west coast province of] Asia [Minor], how we were utterly weighed down, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life [itself].
(9) Bahkan kami merasa, seolah-olah kami telah dijatuhi hukuman mati. Tetapi hal itu terjadi, supaya kami jangan menaruh kepercayaan pada diri kami sendiri, tetapi hanya kepada Allah yang membangkitkan orang-orang mati.
(9) 마음속으로는 사망 선고를 받았다는 느낌마저 들었습니다. 그러나 이렇게 된 것은 우리 자신을 의지하지 않고, 죽은 자를 살리시는 하나님을 의지하도록 하기 위해서였습니다.
(9) Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death [and were convinced that we would die, but this happened] so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead.
(10) Dari kematian yang begitu ngeri Ia telah dan akan menyelamatkan kami: kepada-Nya kami menaruh pengharapan kami, bahwa Ia akan menyelamatkan kami lagi,
(10) 하나님께서는 이렇게 무서운 죽음의 위기에서 우리를 구원하셨으며, 앞으로도 구원하실 것입니다. 우리는 하나님께서 계속해서 우리를 구원해 주실 것이라는 소망을 하나님께 두겠습니다.
(10) He rescued us from so great a threat of death, and will continue to rescue us. On Him we have set our hope. And He will again rescue us [from danger and draw us near],
(11) karena kamu juga turut membantu mendoakan kami, supaya banyak orang mengucap syukur atas karunia yang kami peroleh berkat banyaknya doa mereka untuk kami.
(11) 여러분도 기도로써 우리를 도와 주십시오. 하나님께서 많은 사람들의 기도를 들으시고 우리에게 은혜를 주셨는데, 이 일로 말미암아 많은 사람이 하나님께 감사하게 될 것입니다.
(11) while you join in helping us by your prayers. Then thanks will be given by many persons on our behalf for the gracious gift [of deliverance] granted to us through the prayers of many [believers].
1:12 - 2:4 = Perubahan dalam rencana Paulus
(12) Inilah yang kami megahkan, yaitu bahwa suara hati kami memberi kesaksian kepada kami, bahwa hidup kami di dunia ini, khususnya dalam hubungan kami dengan kamu, dikuasai oleh ketulusan dan kemurnian dari Allah bukan oleh hikmat duniawi, tetapi oleh kekuatan kasih karunia Allah.
(12) 우리의 자랑은 이것입니다. 이에 대해서는 우리의 양심이 증언합니다. 우리는 하나님께로부터 오는 정직함과 성실함으로, 세상의 지혜가 아니라 하나님의 은혜를 따라 세상에서 처신하였습니다. 특히 여러분을 대할 때는 더욱 그러했습니다.
(12) {Paul's Integrity}This is our [reason for] proud confidence: our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world [in general], and especially toward you, with pure motives and godly sincerity, not in human wisdom, but in the grace of God [that is, His gracious lovingkindness that leads people to Christ and spiritual maturity].
(13) Sebab kami hanya menuliskan kepada kamu apa yang dapat kamu baca dan pahamkan. Dan aku harap, mudah-mudahan kamu akan memahaminya sepenuhnya,
(13) 우리는 여러분이 읽고 이해할 수 없는 것은 쓰지 않았습니다.
(13) For we write you nothing other than what you read and understand [there is no double meaning in what we say]. And I hope you will [accurately] understand [divine things] until the end;
(14) seperti yang telah kamu pahamkan sebagiannya dari kami, yaitu bahwa pada hari Tuhan Yesus kamu akan bermegah atas kami seperti kami juga akan bermegah atas kamu.
(14) 여러분이 우리를 부분적으로밖에는 이해할 수 없었으나, 장차 우리 주 예수님의 날에 우리가 여러분을 자랑스러워하는 것처럼 여러분도 우리를 자랑스럽게 여길 수 있다는 것을 완전히 알게 되기를 소망합니다.
(14) just as you have [already] partially understood us, [and one day will recognize] that you can be proud of us just as we are of you, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
(15) Berdasarkan keyakinan ini aku pernah merencanakan untuk mengunjungi kamu dahulu, supaya kamu boleh menerima kasih karunia untuk kedua kalinya.
(15) 나에게 이러한 확신이 있었기에 처음에 여러분을 방문할 계획을 세웠던 것입니다. 그러면 여러분은 은혜를 두 배로 받게 될 것입니다.
(15) It was with this confidence that I planned at first to visit you, so that you might receive twice a token of grace;
(16) Kemudian aku mau meneruskan perjalananku ke Makedonia, lalu dari Makedonia kembali lagi kepada kamu, supaya kamu menolong aku dalam perjalananku ke Yudea.
(16) 나는 마케도니아로 가는 길에 여러분을 방문하고, 마케도니아에서 다시 돌아오는 길에 여러분에게 들러 여러분의 도움을 받아 유대로 갈 계획이었습니다.
(16) that is, [I wanted] to visit you on my way to Macedonia, and [then] to come back to you [on my return] from Macedonia, and have you send me on my way to Judea.
(17) Jadi, adakah aku bertindak serampangan dalam merencanakan hal ini? Atau adakah aku membuat rencanaku itu menurut keinginanku sendiri, sehingga padaku serentak terdapat "ya" dan "tidak"?
(17) 내가 깊이 생각도 하지 않고 이런 계획을 세웠을 것 같습니까? 인간적인 동기로 계획을 세워 마음으로는 “아니오”라고 생각하면서 말로는 “예, 그렇습니다”라고 할 것 같습니까?
(17) So then, was I indecisive or capricious when I was [originally] planning this? Or the things I plan, do I plan in a self-serving way like a worldly man, ready to say, "Yes, yes" and "No, no" [at the same time]?
(18) Demi Allah yang setia, janji kami kepada kamu bukanlah serentak "ya" dan "tidak".
(18) 하나님께서 신실하신 것처럼, 우리는 여러분에게 “예”라는 말과 “아니오”라는 말을 동시에 하지 않았습니다.
(18) But [as surely as] God is faithful and means what He says, our message to you is not "Yes" and "No" [at the same time].
(19) Karena Yesus Kristus, Anak Allah, yang telah kami beritakan di tengah-tengah kamu, yaitu olehku dan oleh Silwanus dan Timotius, bukanlah "ya" dan "tidak", tetapi sebaliknya di dalam Dia hanya ada "ya".
(19) 실루아노와 디모데와 내가 여러분에게 전했던 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도는 “예”라고 하면서 동시에 “아니오”가 되시는 분이 아니셨습니다. 그분에게는 항상 “예”만 있었습니다.
(19) For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, by me, Silvanus, and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but has proved to be "Yes" in Him [true and faithful, the divine "Yes" affirming God's promises].
(20) Sebab Kristus adalah "ya" bagi semua janji Allah. Itulah sebabnya oleh Dia kita mengatakan "Amin" untuk memuliakan Allah.
(20) 하나님의 모든 약속이 그리스도 안에서 “예”가 되었습니다. 그러므로 우리는 그리스도를 통해 “아멘”이라고 함으로써 하나님께 영광을 돌립니다.
(20) For as many as are the promises of God, in Christ they are [all answered] "Yes." So through Him we say our "Amen" to the glory of God.
(21) Sebab Dia yang telah meneguhkan kami bersama-sama dengan kamu di dalam Kristus, adalah Allah yang telah mengurapi,
(21) 여러분과 우리를 그리스도 안에서 굳게 세우시는 분은 하나님이십니다. 하나님께서는 우리에게 기름을 부으시고
(21) Now it is God who establishes and confirms us [in joint fellowship] with you in Christ, and who has anointed us [empowering us with the gifts of the Spirit];
(22) memeteraikan tanda milik-Nya atas kita dan yang memberikan Roh Kudus di dalam hati kita sebagai jaminan dari semua yang telah disediakan untuk kita.
(22) 우리가 그분의 소유라는 표로 인을 치시고, 그 보증으로 우리 마음에 성령을 주셨습니다.
(22) it is He who has also put His seal on us [that is, He has appropriated us and certified us as His] and has given us the [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as a pledge [like a security deposit to guarantee the fulfillment of His promise of eternal life].
(23) Tetapi aku memanggil Allah sebagai saksiku--Ia mengenal aku--,bahwa sebabnya aku tidak datang ke Korintus ialah untuk menyayangkan kamu.
(23) 하나님을 내 증인으로 모시고 말하는 것인데, 내가 고린도에 가지 않은 것은 여러분을 아끼는 마음 때문입니다.
(23) But I call on God as my soul's witness, that it was to spare you [pain and discouragement] that I did not come again to Corinth—
(24) Bukan karena kami mau memerintahkan apa yang harus kamu percayai, karena kamu berdiri teguh dalam imanmu. Sebaliknya, kami mau turut bekerja untuk sukacitamu.
(24) 또한 여러분의 믿음을 우리 마음대로 지배하려고 했던 것도 아닙니다. 여러분이 믿음 위에 굳게 서 있으므로, 우리는 단지 여러분의 기쁨을 위해 여러분과 함께 일하는 사람일 뿐입니다.
(24) not that we rule [like dictators] over your faith, but rather we work with you for [the increase of] your joy; for in your faith you stand firm [in your strong conviction that Jesus of Nazareth—the Messiah—is the Son of God, through whom we obtain eternal salvation].
